How do I connect IMAP?

Add the IMAP piece to a flow, then authenticate with Custom auth. Once connected, its 1 trigger and 4 actions are available anywhere in the builder.

What can I automate with IMAP?

"New Email" can start a flow that runs "Mark Email as Read/Unread", and you can chain IMAP together with any of 760+ other apps and AI steps in between.

Can I self-host the IMAP integration?

Yes. Activepieces is fully self-hostable, so you can run the IMAP piece on your own infrastructure with your connections and your data staying in your environment.

Can my AI agent use IMAP as a tool?

Yes. Every piece you connect can be exposed over one Activepieces MCP server, so Claude, Cursor, Windsurf or any MCP client can call IMAP actions as tools.
